A stunning and demanding day in the mountains, crossing historic lands.
Along the seventh-day route you will see
Buljarica — one of Montenegro’s widest and longest beaches
The coastal trail and Kufin–Preseka–Kosa — top routes for serious hikers
The triple historical border — ancient stone walls separating the Venetian Republic (later Austro-Hungary), the Ottoman Empire, and Old Montenegro
A fairytale forest — birdsong and total solitude all day long
Panoramic Adriatic views — the sea appears both at the beginning and the end of the route

Route features
The route climbs and descends 1100 meters. After crossing the ridge, mobile signal disappears completely. The trail is marked, but you must follow the GPS track — the path is faint or missing in several sections. There is no way to exit the trail halfway. Much of the route is paved with stones — ankle injuries are common, so wear footwear with ankle support. Blackberry thickets can be bypassed: first left across a field, then right along a low stone wall. Expect at least 9 hours of hiking; average pace is under 3 km/h. This is the hardest day of Shetalishte.
