Olive trees appear throughout the trail — but on this section, there are thousands of them.
Along the ninth-day route you will see
Villages of Montenegrin Muslims and mosques — with developed agriculture and a reminder of Montenegro’s cultural diversity
Wind turbines — standing on hilltops and humming gently behind you
Valdanos — a horseshoe-shaped bay with an abandoned sanatorium
The “Silver Forest” — kilometers of olive groves
The approach to Ulcinj — the oldest city on the Adriatic

Route features
If you have an extra day, we recommend staying overnight in Valdanos — before reaching the final destination — and spending the next day there, followed by an evening walk to Ulcinj. As a bonus, we share a GPX track of a circular route around the abandoned elite Yugoslav military sanatorium located in its own secluded bay surrounded by olive forests.
