Nature reserve and transition into Kotor Municipality
The day begins in the bird reserve Tivatska Solila — the site of historic salt pans that today host more than a hundred bird species. Before starting the route, we recommend visiting Ostrvo Cvijeća — a small green island off the Tivat coast, with the ruins of the Monastery of Archangels Michael and Gabriel and a quiet beach. This stage marks the transition from the municipality of Tivat to the municipality of Kotor — from the coastal lowlands to the hilly part of the Luštica peninsula.
